Bridgeport, CT-University of Bridgeport women's basketball player Siobhan Moore (SR, Glasgow, Scotland) has been named a team captain for the Scottish Senior Women's National Basketball Team competing at the Euro C Championships being held in Luxembourg.
In the first game of the Euro C Championships, Moore scored seven points, grabbed 10 rebounds and helped her team to a 62-46 win over Wales.
Bridgeport, CT –Director of Athletics Jay Moran announced today that the University of Bridgeport will add two new varsity athletic teams for the 2009-2010 academic year, as women’s lacrosse and men’s swimming will become part of the UB athletic program. The addition of the two new programs will increase Bridgeport’s NCAA Division II athletic offerings to a total of 13 sports, eight for women and five for men.
